Annual Buganu Ceremony 2026
In celebration of culture, unity, and womanhood, the annual Buganu Ceremony 2026 brought together women from across the country at Buhleni Royal Residence and Hlane Royal Residence. This culturally significant gathering provided a unique platform for FLAS to bring essential Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services and education directly to women in a space that celebrates heritage, unity, and womanhood.
At Buhleni Royal Residence, FLAS set up an
information desk where women had access to vital SRHR education, including
family planning, HIV prevention, and general reproductive health information.
The team also addressed minor health concerns, creating a safe and supportive
environment for open dialogue and learning. By integrating health education
into such an important cultural event, FLAS ensured that women could access
accurate information while actively participating in tradition.
The second leg of the ceremony at Hlane Royal Residence further strengthened this outreach. Surrounded by vibrant cultural expression and solidarity, the FLAS team continued engaging women with comprehensive SRHR education and HIV prevention services. In addition to raising awareness, the team provided family planning services, HIV prevention services, and general reproductive health care, reinforcing the importance of making informed health choices.
FLAS’s presence at the Buganu Ceremony 2026
reflects its ongoing commitment to community-centered service delivery. By
meeting women where they are, within their cultural spaces, FLAS continues to
empower them with knowledge, support their well-being, and promote a future
where health and tradition go hand in hand.
